Brazil is the largest automobile production and sales country in Latin America. In recent years, there has been a new change in the Brazilian automotive market, which is that more and more car manufacturers are introducing new energy vehicles into the Brazilian market, and some manufacturers are also starting to build their own new energy vehicle production bases here. When Brazilians choose cars, they also turn their attention more towards various new energy vehicles.
Christian Catalpani, a consumer of new energy vehicles: I chose a hybrid car for the sake of saving money. Additionally, I did not choose pure electric vehicles because I feel that the timing for purchasing a pure electric vehicle is not yet mature.
Christian's views on new energy vehicles represent the views of most Brazilian consumers. According to statistics, the best-selling new energy vehicle types in the Brazilian market are hybrid vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles, both of which are currently classified as new energy vehicles in Brazil. This type of vehicle is favored by consumers due to its advantages such as long range, strong adaptability, and low price.
However, with some manufacturers announcing plans to build electric vehicle production plants in Brazil and the Brazilian Automobile Industry Alliance investing in the construction of car charging facilities, it is expected that the sales of pure electric vehicles in Brazil will also experience rapid growth in the future.
According to the prediction of the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association, by 2024, the sales of new energy vehicles in Brazil will reach 140000 units, and by 2030, the number of new energy vehicles in Brazil will reach 1 million units. The rapidly developing market has brought abundant profits to Brazilian car dealerships.
Orlando Silva, General Manager of Carlera Automotive Distribution Company in S ã o Paulo, Brazil: We expect significant growth in sales of new energy vehicles next year. Our goal is to continue to maintain a growth rate of 20% to 25%, and we are sure to achieve this goal, so the prospects are very optimistic, especially in the sales of branded cars.
